NBA prop bets are bets on the statistical performance of players and teams rather than a traditional wager such as a team to win, cover, or see the points total go over/under the line. The most common or popular NBA prop bets will revolve around points, rebounds & assists, but there are countless opportunities to wager on NBA player props and NBA team props.
But don’t stop your fantasy fix there. Also, check out FanDuel to put a team together for tonight’s hoops action. One day after being back on the undefeated horse with a 2-0 night, we flipped the script to 0-2 on Tuesday eve. Jimmy Butler went over points scored when he had the under while Blake Griffin could only manage a measly nine points in a game the low-scoring Pistons hung 122 in a win over the Nets. Still, a 24-9 mark over the past 33 games is something to hang our hat on. On to the next as we strive for perfection this evening. As always, we stand behind our predictions, but take a look to see if any other players jump out at you by using the SportsGrid Player Prop Tool. Toronto Raptors Fred VanVleet vs. Washington Wizards
The Bet: Over 21.5 Points (-118)
Fred VanVleet has shown he can take over a game with his scoring this season. The Raptors guard put up a career-high 54 points against the Magic last week and followed that up with a 25 and ten performance and a 32-point game in a win over Memphis on Monday night. Freddy V is averaging a career-best and team-leading 20.7 points per game this season.
There’s no better team to improve career-highs against other than Washington. The Wizards allow a league-worst 120.1 points per game while giving up the second-worst opposing field goal percentage. Washington is also seventh-worst, giving up 13.4 three-pointers a night. FVV leads the Raptors hitting 3.3 triples per game, which puts him sixth in the NBA. This is coming a year after VanVleet was hitting 3.9 a game last season. Look for Fred to fire at will against the terrible Wizards D.
The Raptors are -5.5 point road favorites at FanDuel’s Sportsbook, while the Moneyline sits at -220. The total is set at 234.5, suggesting a lot of scoring, which is par for the course in Washington games.
Indiana Pacers Domantas Sabonis vs. Brooklyn Nets
The Bet: Over 23.5 Points (+100)
With the departure of Victor Oladipo in the James Harden multi-team deal coupled with Caris LeVert, who came back to the Pacers in the trade, not playing yet, the door has been opened for Domantas Sabonis to become the team’s scorer. Sabonis responded with a career-high 33 points last week against the Bucks. The Pacers big man triple-doubled in that game and has been a one-man wrecking crew. Sabonis has put up 20-plus points in six of his past seven and has recently been putting up more shots.
The versatile forward put up nearly 23 a game in three contests against a much better defensive Nets team than the 2021 version. Brooklyn is rising up the points against list knocking on the door at second behind the Wizards, allowing 118.4 a night. The Nets are also second-worst in the league giving up 51.8 points a game in the paint. Bad news for Brooklyn when defending a guy like Sabonis who lives in the paint. Worse news without seven-footer Kevin Durant in the lineup, who continues to be on the league’s health and safety list.
Nba Best Player Prop Bets
Indiana is a tight +1.5 point road dog with a close Moneyline of +102 while the Nets sit at -120. FanDuel’s Sportsbook’s total is high at 235, so there should be plenty of fireworks on the offensive end.
